Winner - 2006 Santa Clarita Valley Blues Society “International Blues Challenge” finals!


   The Jeff Jensen Band is a five man band from Southern California that are all top notch players and entertainers. Jeff's charismatic performance demands the attention of all musicians and spectators alike, especially at his young age. He pulls together the old soul show with a new found energy. Joining the sounds of blues and rock with a down home feel, the Jeff Jensen band will surely keep you entertained all night long.

   The Jeff Jensen Band was formed in the summer of 2004. The band was formed by Jeff Jensen as a bluesy jam band, just to have fun. The band had great crowd response and decided to take that band to the next level. They had some rehearsals, wrote some songs, and entered the Santa Clarita Valley Blues Society "Battle of the Blues Band" . The Jeff Jensen Band won first place after being a band for less then five months. After that the band went to Memphis and competed in the International Blues Challenge. While in Memphis, Handy Award Winning artist, Deborah Coleman selected the band to be her band at her guest appearance.

   Aug 2005, The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California asked the Jeff Jensen Band to headline their "Rock the House Fundraiser". That event raised over $10,000 for the cause.

   Later that month the Band also had the opportunity to play on the same bill as Delta blues legend Paul Oscher, who formally played with Muddy Waters as well as many others. This was put on by the SCV Blues Society. To learn more about Paul Oscher check out this site www.pauloscher.com

   Nov 2005, the Jeff Jensen Band opened for Blues Legend BB KING for part of his 80th birthday tour.

   Dec.2005 The Band was asked to play the Jim Murray Silver Rock Alumni Challenge Banquet. There were music legends and sports legends alike at this event.

   Jan 2006. The band competed in the Santa Clarita Blues Society's "Battle of the Blues Bands" again. This time Michael John and the Bottom Line took first place and the Jeff Jensen Band came in second place. Soon after that the band was asked by The Pine Top Perkins Blues Society to represent them at the 2006 IBC.
